TRETIVA-20 CAPSULES TRETIVA-20 contains Isotretinoin (13-cis-retinoic acid), a systemic retinoid derived from vitamin A. It acts by inhibiting sebaceous gland activity, reducing sebaceous gland size, and decreasing sebum production. Furthermore, it suppresses follicular hyperkeratinization, alters the cutaneous microenvironment to decrease Cutibacterium acnes colonization, and exerts anti-inflammatory effects. It is indicated for the treatment of severe recalcitrant nodular acne non-responsive to conventional therapy, including systemic antibiotics.
