ACTEMRA® (tocilizumab) is a prescription medicine used to treat rheumatoid arthritis in adults.

Warnings

• Do not use ACTEMRA if you are allergic to it or any of its ingredients.
• ACTEMRA may cause serious infections. Call your healthcare provider right away if you have signs of infection such as fever, chills, cough, or trouble breathing.
• ACTEMRA may cause low blood counts. Your healthcare provider will check your blood counts regularly.

Serious Side Effects

• Infections: Serious infections may occur. Seek medical help immediately if you have signs of infection.
• Low blood counts: Your healthcare provider will monitor your blood counts regularly.
• Heart problems: Some people may experience heart problems. Notify your healthcare provider if you have chest pain or shortness of breath.
• Severe allergic reactions: Seek immediate medical help if you have swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; breathing or swallowing problems; severe rash; fainting; or very rapid heartbeat.

• Before using ACTEMRA, your healthcare provider should show you how to use it properly.
• Discuss with your healthcare provider how to manage side effects such as fatigue and low blood counts.
