Bilypsa 4mg Tablets Bilypsa contains Saroglitazar, a novel dual peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) agonist with predominant PPARα and moderate PPARγ activity. Saroglitazar acts by activating PPARα to increase fatty acid oxidation, lower plasma triglycerides, and reduce low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, while simultaneously activating PPARγ to improve insulin sensitivity and glucose uptake in target tissues. Bilypsa® is indicated for the treatment of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), diabetic dyslipidemia, and hypertriglyceridemia in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus not adequately controlled by statin therapy alone.
