DarbeRel 40 mcg/0.4 ml DarbeRel contains Darbepoetin Alfa, a synthetic form of the hormone erythropoietin engineered with additional N-linked oligosaccharide chains to extend its terminal half-life compared to endogenous erythropoietin. It acts on the erythropoietin receptors on erythroid progenitor cells in the bone marrow, stimulating their division and differentiation into mature red blood cells. It is indicated for treating anemia associated with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and non-myeloid chemotherapy-induced anemia.
