Labzer 100 mg Tablets LABZER contains Labetalol Hydrochloride, an adrenergic receptor blocking agent that competitively blocks both alpha-1 and non-selective beta-1 and beta-2 adrenergic receptors. The selective blockade of alpha-1 receptors produces vasodilation and decreases peripheral vascular resistance, thereby lowering systemic blood pressure. Concurrently, non-selective beta-blockade inhibits reflex tachycardia and prevents an excessive rise in heart rate and cardiac output, resulting in effective blood pressure control without significantly altering resting cardiac output. LABZER is indicated for the management of essential hypertension, severe hypertension, and pregnancy-induced hypertension (preeclampsia).
