Ferinject 500 mg Injection Ferinject contains Ferric Carboxymaltose, a stable macromolecular iron complex designed to deliver usable elemental iron directly to reticuloendothelial storage cells and erythroid progenitor cells. It is indicated for the treatment of iron deficiency anemia when oral iron preparations are ineffective, intolerable, or clinically unsuitable (such as in chronic kidney disease or inflammatory bowel disease).
