Orofer FCM 1K Injection Orofer FCM 1K contains Ferric Carboxymaltose, a macromolecular iron carbohydrate complex. It delivers elemental iron to reticuloendothelial cells, which store it or transport it via transferrin to erythroid precursor cells for incorporation into hemoglobin. It is indicated for the treatment of iron deficiency anemia in adults and pediatric patients (1 year and older) who have intolerance or unresponsiveness to oral iron, or who have non-hemodialysis-dependent chronic kidney disease.
