Orofer FCM 500 mg Injection Orofer FCM contains Ferric Carboxymaltose, a stable macromolecular iron carbohydrate complex. It releases elemental iron to reticuloendothelial cells, which store it or transfer it to hemoglobin-synthesizing erythroid progenitor cells. It is indicated for the treatment of iron deficiency anemia when oral iron preparations are ineffective or cannot be tolerated, or in clinical conditions requiring rapid replenishment of iron stores (such as non-hemodialysis-dependent chronic kidney disease).
