Apigat 5 Tablets Apigat 5 contains Apixaban, an oral, highly selective, reversible direct factor Xa inhibitor. By directly inhibiting free and clot-bound factor Xa as well as prothrombinase activity, it prevents thrombin generation and blood clot development. It is indicated to lower the risk of stroke and systemic embolism in patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation, as well as for the treatment and prophylaxis of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE).
