Cutenox 40 mg / 0.4 ml Cutenox contains Enoxaparin Sodium, a low molecular weight heparin produced by alkaline depolymerization of heparin benzyl ester. It acts primarily by binding to antithrombin III, which accelerates the inactivation of coagulation factors Factor Xa and Factor IIa (thrombin), exhibiting a higher ratio of anti-Factor Xa to anti-Factor IIa activity. This prevents the formation of blood clots. It is used for the prophylaxis and treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), and acute coronary syndromes (unstable angina, non-ST-segment elevation MI, and ST-segment elevation MI).
