Ledikast Tablets

Ledikast Tablets Ledikast is a fixed-dose combination oral direct-acting antiviral (DAA) therapy containing Ledipasvir and Sofosbuvir. Ledipasvir is an inhibitor of the hepatitis C virus (HCV) NS5A non-structural protein, an essential component involved in hyperphosphorylation, viral RNA replication, and virion assembly. Sofosbuvir is a nucleotide analogue prodrug that undergoes intracellular metabolism to its active uridine triphosphate derivative (GS-461203), which is incorporated into viral RNA via the HCV NS5B RNA-dependent RNA polymerase, leading to chain termination. Combined, these mechanisms target two independent steps in viral replication, preventing viral persistence and resistance. Ledikast is indicated for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection (genotypes 1, 4, 5, or 6) in adult and pediatric patients, with or without compensated cirrhosis, or in combination with ribavirin for patients with decompensated cirrhosis.
