ImmunoRel 2.5 g Injection ImmunoRel contains Human Normal Immunoglobulin (IVIG), a sterile, liquid preparation of highly purified immunoglobulin G (IgG) derived from pooled human plasma. It contains a broad spectrum of intact, functionally active antibodies against a wide variety of infectious agents and toxins. In primary and secondary immunodeficiency diseases, IVIG provides replacement therapy by restoring deficient IgG antibody levels to normal ranges. In autoimmune and inflammatory disorders, IVIG exerts complex immunomodulatory actions, including blockade of Fc receptors on macrophages, neutralization of autoantibodies, suppression of inflammatory cytokines, modulation of complement activation, and regulation of T and B cell function. ImmunoRel® is indicated for replacement therapy in primary immunodeficiency syndromes (PID) and secondary immunodeficiencies, as well as immunomodulation in immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), Guillain-Barré syndrome, Kawasaki disease, and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP).
