APTRIAX-S-1.5g Injection

APTRIAX-S-1.5g Injection APTRIX-S contains Ceftriaxone Sodium and Sulbactam Sodium, a synergistic combination of a broad-spectrum third-generation cephalosporin and a suicide beta-lactamase inhibitor. Ceftriaxone inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to essential penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), leading to cell lysis and bacterial death. Sulbactam irreversibly binds and inactivates beta-lactamase enzymes produced by resistant bacteria, thereby protecting ceftriaxone from enzymatic degradation and restoring its antibacterial spectrum against beta-lactamase-producing strains. APTRIX-S is indicated for the treatment of severe infections caused by susceptible or beta-lactamase-producing organisms, including lower respiratory tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, complicated urinary tract infections, bacterial septicemia, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, pelvic inflammatory disease, and surgical prophylaxis.
