FLUBIGAT Eye Drops FLUBIGAT contains Flurbiprofen (an NSAID) and Gatifloxacin (a 4th generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic). Gatifloxacin inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, preventing bacterial replication, while Flurbiprofen inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX) to reduce prostaglandin synthesis, thereby relieving ocular pain, swelling, and inflammation. It is indicated for the treatment of bacterial eye infections (such as conjunctivitis) and for managing post-operative inflammation and prophylaxis against intraoperative miosis in ocular surgery.
