Sulbaxis 1.5 g Injection

Sulbaxis 1.5 g Injection SULBAXIS contains a fixed-dose combination of Cefoperazone Sodium and Sulbactam Sodium. Cefoperazone is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that exerts bactericidal action by inhibiting bacterial cell wall peptidoglycan synthesis through binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs). Sulbactam is an irreversible beta-lactamase inhibitor that binds to and inactivates bacterial beta-lactamase enzymes, protecting cefoperazone from enzymatic degradation and restoring its antibacterial efficacy against beta-lactamase-producing resistant organisms. This combination expands the antibacterial spectrum against Gram-negative pathogens, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter species, and Enterobacteriaceae. SULBAXIS is indicated for the treatment of severe respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, septicemia, skin and soft tissue infections, and bone/joint infections.
