Albentel Plus Tablets ALBENTEL PLUS contains a synergistic dual-action combination of micronised Albendazole and Ivermectin. Albendazole, a benzimidazole carbamate derivative, inhibits tubulin polymerization in parasitic cells, disrupting glucose uptake and depleting energy stores, leading to immobilization and cell death. Micronisation enhances the systemic absorption and bioavailability of albendazole. Ivermectin acts by selectively binding with high affinity to glutamate-gated chloride ion channels present in invertebrate nerve and muscle cells, increasing membrane permeability to chloride ions, causing cell hyperpolarization, paralysis, and death of the parasite. ALBENTEL PLUS is indicated for the treatment of mixed intestinal helminthiasis, lymphatic filariasis, strongyloidiasis, ascariasis, enterobiasis, hookworm infections, trichuriasis, and scabies.
