Ivermaxx 12mg Tablets IVERMAXX 12 contains Ivermectin, a potent semi-synthetic broad-spectrum antiparasitic agent belonging to the avermectin class. Ivermectin acts by binding selectively and with high affinity to glutamate-gated chloride ion channels in invertebrate nerve and muscle cells. This interaction increases the permeability of the cell membrane to chloride ions, causing hyperpolarization of the nerve or muscle cell, resulting in flaccid paralysis and ultimate death of the parasite. IVERMAXX 12 is indicated for the treatment and clinical management of intestinal strongyloidiasis, onchocerciasis (river blindness), lymphatic filariasis, scabies, and other susceptible parasitic nematode infestations.
