ENTEKOR-1 Tablets ENTEKOR-1 contains Entecavir at a 1 mg strength, primarily indicated for the treatment of chronic Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) infection in adult patients with lamivudine-refractory HBV, decompensated liver disease, or active viral replication with hepatic inflammation. Entecavir is a cyclopentyl guanosine nucleoside analogue that undergoes intracellular phosphorylation to entecavir triphosphate. This active metabolite competes with natural deoxyguanosine triphosphate (dGTP) to inhibit HBV DNA polymerase across priming, reverse transcription, and synthesis stages of viral replication, blocking viral DNA elongation.
