TENOCRUZ 300 mg Tablets TENOCRUZ 300 mg contains Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate, an acyclic nucleoside phosphonate diester analog of adenosine monophosphate. Following absorption, it is converted to tenofovir and intracellularly phosphorylated to active tenofovir diphosphate. Tenofovir diphosphate competes with the natural substrate deoxyadenosine 5'-triphosphate for incorporation into viral DNA, causing DNA chain termination and inhibition of HIV-1 reverse transcriptase as well as Hepatitis B virus (HBV) polymerase. It is indicated for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in combination with other antiretroviral agents, and for the management of chronic Hepatitis B infection in adults and pediatric patients.
