CYCOKAST-50 Injection CYCOKAST-50 contains Cisplatin, a platinum-based antineoplastic agent with cell-cycle non-specific cytotoxic activity. Cisplatin enters target cells by passive diffusion and active transport via copper transporters. Intracellularly, low chloride concentrations induce aquation, producing reactive platinum complexes that bind covalently to nucleophilic sites on DNA. Cisplatin primarily forms intrastrand adducts (mainly at 1,2-intrastrand crosslinks between adjacent guanine residues or adjacent adenine and guanine residues) and interstrand crosslinks. These DNA adducts inhibit DNA replication and transcription, induce structural distortions in the double helix, and trigger apoptosis. CYCOKAST-50 is supplied as a sterile solution for intravenous infusion and is indicated for the treatment of advanced testicular cancer, refractory ovarian cancer, advanced bladder carcinoma, cervical cancer, head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
