Kabanat 60mg Injection Kabanat contains Cabazitaxel, a semi-synthetic taxane derivative and antineoplastic agent. Cabazitaxel binds to tubulin and promotes its assembly into microtubules while simultaneously inhibiting microtubule depolymerization. This stabilization suppresses microtubule dynamics, leading to the inhibition of mitotic cell division and interphase cellular functions, ultimately resulting in apoptotic cell death. Cabazitaxel exhibits low affinity for the P-glycoprotein (P-gp) efflux pump, rendering it active against taxane-resistant tumor cells. Kabanat is indicated in combination with prednisone for the treatment of patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) previously treated with a docetaxel-containing regimen.
