Denoclast Denoclast contains Denosumab, a human monoclonal IgG2 antibody produced by recombinant DNA technology. It works by targeting and binding with high affinity to RANKL (receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa-B ligand), preventing RANKL from activating its receptor, RANK, on the surface of osteoclasts and their precursors. This action inhibits osteoclast formation, function, and survival, thereby reducing bone resorption and increasing bone mass and strength. It is primarily used to treat osteoporosis in postmenopausal women at high risk for fracture, bone loss associated with hormone ablation therapy in prostate or breast cancer, and glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis.
