LENAKAST-10 Capsules LENAKAST-10 contains Lenalidomide, a thalidomide analogue exhibiting potent immunomodulatory, anti-angiogenic, and direct anti-neoplastic properties. Lenalidomide targets and binds to cereblon (CRBN), a functional component of the cullin-RING E3 ubiquitin ligase enzyme complex. This binding recruits and induces the selective ubiquitination and degradation of lymphoid transcription factors IKZF1 (Ikaros) and IKZF3 (Aiolos), leading to direct apoptosis and cell cycle arrest in malignant plasma cells and B-cell lineage malignancies. Furthermore, it stimulates T-cell and Natural Killer (NK) cell responsiveness, suppresses key pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-6, IL-12), and inhibits tumor-induced angiogenesis by blocking vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF). LENAKAST-10 is indicated for the treatment of multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) associated with a deletion 5q cytogenetic abnormality, and relapsed or refractory mantle cell lymphoma (MCL).
